IGNITER'S CAR CLUB MEETING
Minutes of meeting, January 06, 2010
The meeting was called to order at 8:04 p.m.
Roll call of officers: All were present.
Visitors: Brittany Neils, Colton Cannon and Levi Zimmerman.
Minutes of December 2nd 2009 meeting were read by Secretary: Jesse James. Gary Rantala motioned to approve the
minutes as read, Pat McGregor second, motion carried.
Vice President: Rex Murray read the flier advertising a cruise by the Pioneer Street Rods in Butte Montana on February
5th, 6th and 7th titled the No Rod Rod Run.
Pat McGregor said all finance papers for 2009 yr. Are in the files
Cruise Report: None to report.
Old Business:
- Gary Rantala fixed the waterline wire. The wire to the well was spliced outside in front of the building and shorted out
under ground. A bypass line was run to the well to get us by until spring, as the ground is frozen and cannot be
excavated.
- As you can see! A lot of painting has been done inside the shop, a real improvement. Painting is being done by,
Marge Kroeger, Ivan Troyer, and Ron Dickey. Since Ivan and Diane went south for the winter, Ron has been busy
painting the red stripe on the walls.
- Tell them how much their efforts are appreciated. Good job painters!
- Gary Rantala is supervising the work of insulating the ceiling. Three panels are up now. Gary said the work takes
three people, he will call on members at various times to help until the project is completed.
- Dee Teske said; Vanessa, the Libby Christmas family was thrilled with the gifts and thanks the Igniter's for their
generosity.
Unfinished Business:
- Igniter's sign for each end of town along Hwy. 2. We need to draw up a plan and send it to Kalispell and Helena, also
check with Libby Port Authority about moving the car display from the old drive-in theater to the Port Authority
property along Hwy. 2.
New Business:
- President: Dennis Souther is setting up committees and needs volunteers. He will post a list of the committees on the
wall in the meeting room. Take time to check them out and please sign up where you would like to be of help to the
Igniter's.
- The membership committee will review new applications and will contact members concerning delinquent dues. The
committee needs to set a deadline date that dues shall be paid. Diane Troyer volunteered to be on this committee.
- Pat McGregor volunteered to be on the High School Grant committee.
- Dennis Souther said a list of club members with phone numbers need to be given to each member to improve
communications and help them to get to know one another. A list should be provided by the membership committee.
- Next year is the car clubs 50th anniversary. Jim Eliskovich said he is looking into making a calendar with club cars on
it, also a booklet of past members and history.
- Motion made to set up anniversary committee with Terry Watson and Jim Eliskovich to head up the committee.
Motion seconded and carried.
- Dee Teske said; a potluck for Month of February needs to be set up. Will wait till next month.
- Dee Teske signed up for the dash plaque committee with Brock Jones and Brent Teske for the trophy committee.
Announcements:
- Marge Kroegar said; When attending the Igniter's Christmas Dinner, pay at the dinner and not before.
- Dan Ackerman said; he wants the sign up for the dinner in as soon as possible so the meat can be ordered. He
would like people to sign up for cleanup and kitchen duties.
- 53 people signed up for the meal last year and 44 people paid. This is a loss to the Club. If you are not going to show
up, please let Dan know ahead of time, or we will have to go to a prepay system.
